Terms of Use
These terms explain what you get when you work with us, what we cannot control, and the rules both sides agree to. In plain language first: we are an independent clinical-placement service for Thomas Edison State University nursing students. We work to line up an approvable preceptor and site in your specialty and state, but we do not control the decisions TESU, a clinical site, or a state licensing board ultimately make. By using this site or engaging our service, you agree to the terms below.
Who we are, and who we are not
We are an independent service. We are not Thomas Edison State University, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or any nursing board, and nothing on this site should be read as a claim of affiliation, partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement by any of them. We are not retained by, and do not speak for, TESU.
Because we are independent, your enrollment, academic standing, course requirements, practicum project approval, and graduation are governed entirely by your agreement with TESU and its current handbook and policies. Our service sits alongside that relationship to help you find and secure a preceptor; it does not change or override anything in it.
Informational only, not advice
The information on this site and the guidance we give is general in nature. It is meant to help you understand the placement process and plan ahead. It is not legal advice, not academic or enrollment advising, and not clinical or medical advice, and it does not create any professional relationship beyond the service you engage us for.
Program rules change and vary by track, state, and term, so confirm the specifics with TESU before you act. For any hour count, credit total, course sequence, or deadline, rely on your current official TESU handbook. One caution: the Post-Graduate APRN certificate is pursuing initial CCNE accreditation and is not yet accredited, so confirm its current status directly with TESU. Where our pages cite published figures, such as the FNP practicum's 750 clinical hours, we verify them against your program rather than presenting them as fixed.
What we do, and pay when matched
When you engage us, we work to identify and secure an approvable preceptor in your NP or nursing track and state, and we support you through the documentation your program asks for. Our fee covers sourcing, verification, and coordination only; it is never a payment to a preceptor, because preceptors are not paid by us.
Any fee is disclosed to you in writing before you commit, so there are no surprises, and payment is structured around results: your service fee is due once a preceptor is secured for you, on the terms set out in your engagement. Our fees are for placement assistance only. We never collect, hold, or refund tuition; tuition is strictly between you and TESU. A preceptor we propose still has to be reviewed and approved by TESU before it counts, and we cannot guarantee that TESU approves a given preceptor or site, that a site accepts you, or any licensing-board decision. Keep in mind that TESU requires you to carry malpractice insurance before you register for practicum courses.
Good to know
Are you affiliated with Thomas Edison State University or the CCNE?
No. We are an independent clinical-placement service. We are not TESU, the CCNE, or any nursing board, and we are not endorsed by or partnered with them. Your enrollment and academic requirements are governed entirely by your agreement with TESU.
When do I pay?
There are no hidden fees. Any fee is disclosed to you in writing before you commit, and your service fee is due once a preceptor is secured for you, on the terms in your engagement. Our fee covers sourcing and coordination only; it is never a payment to the preceptor.
Is the information on this site official TESU advice?
No. It is general information to help you plan, not legal, academic, enrollment, or clinical advice. Program rules vary by track, state, and term and can change, so always confirm the specifics with TESU and rely on your current official handbook.
Do you guarantee I will get a placement?
We work to secure an approvable preceptor and support your paperwork, but we cannot guarantee outcomes a third party controls, whether TESU approves a given preceptor or site, whether a site accepts you, or any licensing-board decision. Your engagement terms set out exactly what we commit to do.
